Nice to Meet You
This is the blog of a dog who was not our first choice. Or our second. Maybe not even our third. But who has turned out to be the best dog we could have asked for. His is not a story of horrible abuse, or neglect, or dog fighting. His ears are natural, his coat is scar-free, and he was in fact a little chunky when we brought him home. We think he was an outside dog because he didn't know the most basic things, like what TV was, or how to get in a car, or how to climb stairs. He had no obedience training and was overly excited about every! little! thing! But someone took decent care of him until he wound up in a shelter as a stray. Their loss is our gain. Now, he knows more than 20 words, commands, and phrases. His hearing is selective and he is still easily distracted. But he has grown by leaps and bounds, and we work with him on his training every day. Our goals for him are lofty, we know. But with some perseverance, we can achieve them. Follow along to find ou
